can I cancel the x in this equation?

Let's say 3y+x^4/5+x^5 can I cancel the Xs since their considered as (x)(x)(x)(x) ? Or I cant since there's an addition sign?

x^5 is x*x*x*x*x

no.  Yu kant ignore it just jauz yu dont like its looks

x^4/5 is root 5 av (x^4)

kant ignore it, even tho its even ugleeer
